Women Fore Pandas Golf Tournament
Brief: During my time as the Marketing and Communications intern with the Faculty of Physical Education, Sport & Recreation, I also assisted in the planning of the 2017 Women Fore Pandas Golf Tournament. The aim of this annual fundraiser is to raise money for female student-athlete scholarships.
The Work
Securing Sponsorship

It was my role to secure monetary sponsorship to fund the golf tournament, as well as establish positive, professional, and mutually beneficial relationships with corporate sponsors. It was also my job to reach out to local businesses to acquire donated items for the silent-auction.
The Result

Through my ability to negotiate effectively with sponsors, I was able to generate more than $35,000 of funding for the 2017 Women Fore Golf Tournament. The collective fundraising initiatives that our team executed generated over $75,000 in scholarships for female athletes.
