The Ask
Brief: I worked as the Communications Coordinator for Birdie Break Sitter App: an app that provides families in Alberta with quality, vetted childcare. It was my responsibility to plan and oversee all digital marketing strategies, as well as assist with sitter recruitment.
Goal: Create a trustworthy brand identity that parents trust and childcare providers want to be a part of.

Sitter Profiles

Showcased the amazing childcare providers available on the App! Details such as their education, hobbies, extracurricular activities and volunteer experience not only emphasized their qualifications, but created a feeling of trust and personability.
Influencer Collaboration

Some of our clients were local entrepreneurs & influencers. With their permission, on a weekly basis, I would select a #momcrushmonday to feature on Instagram. This resulted in an influx of new followers and site traffic.



Local Business Collaboration

In July of 2019, I launched the #datenight giveaway promotion. Each week, in collaboration a popular local restaurant, we gave away four hours of free babysitting as well as a gift-card to the restaurant. I based the entry criteria on my knowledge of the instagram algorithm. The four giveaways resulted in more than 1200 new instagram followers.



The Result

The sitter recruitment strategies that I introduced increased the number of staff members by over 150%.

My social media posts increased their number of Instagram followers by 94%, and their number of Facebook likes by 39%

Collectively, my digital marketing strategies increased client bookings by 62%.
